The annual electronic new products and technologies show (CES2021), which will be all-digital for this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. LG Display announced their game-changer product 55inch transparent OLED display showcase at the upcoming CES 2021. Transparent OLED TV will move easily to the foot of a bed of the user. The TV contents in different screen ratio without sacrifice its clear image quality that does not count on the backlight.

According to the company, LG Display’s transparent OLED display has 40% transparency. With its benefit transparency, Transparent OLED can be used in different fields like smart homes, smart buildings, including autonomous vehicles, subway, and aircraft.

“Transparent OLED is a technology that maximizes the advantages of OLED and can be used in various places in our daily lives, from stores, shopping malls, and architectural interiors to autonomous vehicles, subway trains, and aircraft,” said Jong-sun Park, Senior Vice President & Head of the Commercial Business Unit at LG Display. He added, “It will grow into a next-generation display that can change the existing display paradigm.” (Press Release)

The LG Display can use in Restaurant Zone. For example a sushi bar can take advantage a Transparent OLED display to distribute information about menu between both sides of the screen. Also, customers can enjoy some content and while at the same time viewing the preparing their food.

LG Display will demonstrate how the company’s 55 inches Transparent OLED display could replace a window on a subway train in a Metro Zone. This means passengers can enjoy the scenery while seeing information like subway maps, news, or other information.
